Police Smash into Bedworth House in £50k Cannabis Raid

This is the moment police officers smashed their way into a Midland home and dismantled a £50,000 cannabis farm. Police forced their way into the house on Coventry Road, Bedworth, on the morning of May 6.

Coventry Live reported that Warwickshire Police's Bedworth Safer Neighbourhood Team discovered 150 cannabis plants being cultivated in a makeshift factory setup, carrying a street value of £50,000.

Dodgy Wiring Posed Danger

Officers uncovered what police described as 'dodgy wiring' connected to the lighting, rendering the entire property a 'real and present danger to the neighbours'. Investigators also stumbled upon a 'helpful' lead pointing towards those potentially responsible for the cannabis operation.

"Inside, officers discovered approximately 150 cannabis plants valued at around £50,000, which, safe to say, is a bit more than your average houseplant collection," the team said. "To top it off, there was also a helpful stack of post with occupant details — always nice when things are clearly labelled."

Appeal for Information

Anyone who suspects a cannabis growing operation in their local area is urged to submit information via the reporting section on Warwickshire Police's website or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
