Teen Charged After Weapon Sighting on Dudley Road

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after police responded to reports of a person seen carrying a weapon on Dudley Road in Wolverhampton.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 AM on Monday, April 27, when an individual was reportedly observed with a weapon in the area. Officers quickly arrived on the scene and conducted a search of the vicinity. The teenager was subsequently detained on nearby St Lukes Gardens.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson confirmed that a zombie knife was allegedly recovered during the operation. The boy was then formally charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The accused is scheduled to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday, May 20. The police spokesperson stated: "A teenage boy has been charged after we recovered a zombie knife in Wolverhampton. We were called to Dudley Road at around 11:15 AM yesterday to reports of a person being seen with a weapon. Officers arrived and searched the surrounding area, and following searches around St Lukes Gardens, a 16-year-old boy was detained, and a zombie knife was recovered. The boy has since been charged with possession of an offensive weapon and will appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on 20 May."
