A 19-year-old has been charged in connection with a bomb hoax that forced the evacuation of the Utilita Arena in Birmingham during a Peter Kay concert on Friday night.

Omar Majed, from Washwood Heath, Birmingham, faces a charge of false communications relating to the incident. He has been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on May 4.
