A teenage boy was robbed of his coat and mobile phone during a frightening incident in Willenhall, police have confirmed. The attack occurred on Saturday, April 18, at around 4:10 PM on Coppice Farm Way.
Details of the Incident
The victim was reportedly assaulted by a large group of teenagers who were wearing face coverings. The assailants stole his coat and phone before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, the boy did not sustain serious injuries, though he did suffer some facial harm.
Police Investigation
Following the incident, West Midlands Police arrested two 14-year-old boys on suspicion of robbery. Both have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information after a robbery in Willenhall. At around 4:10 PM on Saturday, 18 April, a teenage boy was assaulted and his coat and mobile phone were stolen. The boy sustained facial injuries but thankfully did not require hospital treatment. We understand a large number of teenagers, who were wearing facial coverings, were involved in the robbery on Coppice Farm Way. Since the incident, we have arrested two 14-year-old boys on suspicion of robbery. They have since been bailed. As part of our investigation, we would now like the public's help.
