A 16-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in a stabbing on Stoney Lane in Bloxwich, Walsall, on Saturday evening, prompting the arrest of two teenagers on suspicion of attempted murder.
West Midlands Police were called to the scene at just after 8.50pm on Saturday, September 19, and found the victim badly hurt. He was rushed to hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
Two arrests made
An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of attempted murder. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested today, Sunday, September 20, in connection with the incident. Both teenagers remain in custody for questioning, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed.
The spokesperson said: "We've arrested two teenagers on suspicion of attempted murder after another teen sustained serious stab injuries in Walsall. We were called to Stoney Lane, Bloxwich, at just after 8.50pm yesterday (19 September). A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries, although they're thankfully not believed to be life-threatening."
