Tesco petrol station raided by thugs with angle grinder

Three men broke into a Tesco petrol station in Worcester using an angle grinder and a fire extinguisher, according to West Mercia Police. The suspects entered the premises on Mill Wood Drive shortly after 2am on Monday, October 19, and made off with cash boxes before fleeing on electric bikes.

Break-in details

The suspects used an angle grinder to cut through a metal security shutter protecting the front entrance. Another suspect used a fire extinguisher to smash a lower panel of the door. Once inside, the angle grinder was used to open cash boxes before the trio left the store with them.

The incident took place at around 2.10am, according to a police spokesperson. The three suspects were wearing dark clothing at the time of the burglary.

Escape on electric bikes

After leaving the store, the suspects were seen on foot heading towards Vetch Field Avenue. They then mounted electric bikes and rode away along Mill Wood Drive.
