Two individuals have been arrested following incidents in which shots were fired at members of the public in Solihull. The arrests come after several reports of people being targeted in the area over the past few days.
Arrests Made
An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were taken into custody on Wednesday, May 6, and questioned by police. They have since been released on bail with strict conditions while the investigation continues.
Police Statement
West Midlands Police stated: "We arrested two teenagers following several reports that shots from a suspected pellet gun had been fired at people in the Solihull area over the last few days. Fortunately, no-one sustained any serious injuries, but we understand this was a distressing and frightening experience for all."
Officers quickly identified a vehicle linked to the offences, leading to the swift arrest of the two teenage boys. The force added: "They have been released on bail with strict conditions while our enquiries continue."
