Urgent Police Appeal for Missing 53-Year-Old
Leicestershire Police have issued an urgent public appeal to help locate a man from the Midlands who vanished on New Year's Eve. Officers have expressed serious concern for the welfare of Ivan Finney, aged 53, who was last seen on Wednesday, 31 December.
Last Known Sighting and Description
The last confirmed sighting of Mr Finney was at approximately 7pm on New Year's Eve. He was reported to be heading in the direction of the Morrisons supermarket located on Freeman's Common in Leicester. There have been no confirmed sightings of him since that evening.
Police have released a description to aid the public in their search. Ivan Finney is 6ft tall and of stocky build. He is clean-shaven with short black hair and wears glasses. When he was last seen, he was wearing a distinctive outfit: a black coat with a Vauxhall Drive logo, black trousers, a black polo shirt also bearing the Vauxhall Drive logo, and steel toe-capped black shoes.
Family and Police Concern Grows
Both Leicestershire Police and Mr Finney's family are deeply concerned for his wellbeing. The force has emphasised the urgency of the situation and is asking anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward immediately.
