Violence erupted on a street in Walsall, leaving one man hospitalised with head injuries after a serious disorder involving multiple men. West Midlands Police (WMP) is urgently appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred on Green Rock Lane in the Bloxwich area.

Incident details

The altercation took place shortly before 8pm on May 30, when police received reports of a group of men fighting. Officers attended the scene and found a man with head injuries, who was subsequently taken to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for any witnesses or information following a serious disorder in Walsall. We were called to Green Rock Lane shortly before 8pm on 30 May after reports of a group of men fighting. A man was taken to hospital with head injuries which were thankfully not life-threatening."

Police appeal

Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the fight or saw events leading up to it. The spokesperson added: "If you know more about what happened, call 101 quoting crime number 20/267799/26."

This incident follows a series of violent events in the West Midlands region, including a separate case where a man died and a woman was hurt after a car hit railings in Birmingham city centre.
