Four people fled the scene of a crash in Wednesbury that left a woman and three children hospitalised. The incident occurred on Walsall Street at around 2:49 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Crash Details and Emergency Response
Emergency services, including two ambulances, were dispatched to the two-car collision. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson stated: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Walsall Street in Wednesbury at 2:49 PM, yesterday, and sent two ambulances to the scene. On arrival, crews found a woman and three children. All were assessed for injuries not believed to be serious, before being conveyed to Walsall Manor Hospital.”
Occupants Flee the Scene
The occupants of the second vehicle—believed to be three men and a woman—abandoned the car and fled on foot before police arrived. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We were called to a two-car collision in Walsall Street, Wednesbury, at just before 3 PM yesterday. Two women and three children from one of the vehicles were treated by paramedics before one woman and the children were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing. The occupants of the second car, believed to be three men and a woman, left the scene on foot before officers arrived. Their vehicle has been seized, and enquiries are under way to identify and trace those involved.”
