A woman has been arrested in Lozells following an incident where a teenage girl was discovered with injuries. The event occurred on Nursery Road, near Gerrard Street, on Thursday, June 11.
Incident Details
Police were called to the scene at approximately 7pm after reports of an injured teenage girl. Upon arrival, officers found the girl with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The area was immediately cordoned off, leading to bus diversions while investigations commenced.
Arrest Made
A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. As of Friday, June 12, she remains in police custody.
Police Appeal
A West Midlands Police spokesperson stated: "A woman has been arrested following an assault in Birmingham. We were called to Nursery Road, near Gerrard Street, at around 7pm on June 11 where a teenage girl was found with injuries not believed to be life-changing. A woman aged 21 has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody."
