Detectives are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in an unprovoked attack on West Bromwich High Street. The incident occurred in broad daylight shortly before 3.15pm on Saturday, June 13.
Details of the assault
The victim was walking alone when she was approached by a man who assaulted her before fleeing the scene. West Midlands Police described the attack as unprovoked. The force has released CCTV images of a short-haired man they wish to identify in connection with the incident. He was wearing a grey top with a black jumper over his shoulders.
Police appeal
A force spokesperson said: "We're looking to speak to anyone who witnessed an assault in West Bromwich High Street. On June 13 this year, shortly before 3.15pm, a woman was walking by herself when she was approached by a man who assaulted her before making off. This was an unprovoked assault and we're asking the public's help in identifying this man. If you think you know him, call 101 quoting crime number 20/284883/26."
