A 21-year-old woman from Birmingham is facing a potential prison sentence after pleading guilty to threatening an individual with a blade on the grounds of a primary school.

Capri Anderson, residing in Shard End, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court via video link from HMP Foston Hall, where she has been held in custody for the past four months. She admitted to threatening a person with a knife at Brownmead Primary Academy on February 10. The altercation occurred outside the school premises, ensuring that pupils remained entirely undisturbed during the incident.
Court Proceedings
During the hearing, Anderson's defence solicitor argued that the offence stemmed from a "crisis situation" rather than premeditated criminal activity. The court was informed that Anderson is dealing with mental health challenges.
District Judge Adrian Lower has ordered both pre-sentence and psychiatric reports to be prepared before sentencing, which is scheduled for August 19. He warned Anderson: "I am not excluding the possibility that you could be sent to prison as a result of your guilty plea."
School Response
Headteacher Wendy Carter confirmed that staff promptly contacted the police, who arrived within minutes to manage the situation. She emphasised that the children were "wholly undisturbed throughout" the event.
