A zombie knife was seized from a 15-year-old boy during a stop and search near Walsall Railway Station on Tuesday, July 14, at 4pm. Officers from the Guardian Task Force, a specialist unit focusing on knife crime and youth violence, conducted the search on Little Station Street. The teenager was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and has been released on bail with strict conditions pending further enquiries.
Drugs Recovered from Linked Address
Following the initial stop, officers recovered a quantity of Class A drugs from an address linked to their investigation. The operation was supported by the Pleck neighbourhood team and the dog unit. During the course of the operation, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and assaulting an officer.

Sergeant Kate Jeffries from the Guardian Taskforce stated: “Our teams continue to work incredibly hard to take knives and offensive weapons off the streets. Every knife seized is potentially a life saved. And these knives are the reason why we need to continue to carry out stop and searches.”
