A brand-new, immersive play experience designed to spark children's imaginations has opened its doors at a farm shop in Worcestershire, just a short drive from Birmingham. Little Daydreams Role Play Café at The Farm Shop at Ombersley launched with a soft opening just before Christmas and is now fully operational for the new year.
Explore the Magical Play Village and Double Decker Bus
The centrepiece of the attraction is a converted double decker bus, which invites children to take the driver's seat, cook pretend meals in its kitchen, and explore a cosy bedroom and bathroom area. A unique feature leads to a mini garden and workbench. Upstairs, the bus transforms into a magical sensory room, entered through the bottom of a tree, and includes a quiet sitting area for books and puzzles.
Outside the bus, a dedicated role play village offers a variety of realistic settings for young minds. Kids can run their own operations from a little ice cream shed, a garden kitchen, a flower shop, and a vet's practice. The village also includes a sand shed, a car wash, and a bump track for ride-on toys.
A Space for Creativity, Community and Coffee
For messier adventures, a dedicated messy play room encourages sensory exploration through painting, making, and creating. The owners have also announced future plans for a Little Forest Retreat, a 40-foot container space with a private outdoor area for nature-based activities.
Co-owner Sarah Atkins emphasised the café's community focus: "Little Daydreams Roleplay Café is a vibrant and inclusive community hub where families of all backgrounds feel welcomed and supported," she said. "We provide a safe, clean and stimulating environment where children can unleash their imaginations... all the while the adults can relax with a great cup of coffee." Parents can enjoy refreshments from the neighbouring Magnolia's coffee shop, located in a converted barn.
