A total of 15 perfumes have been urgently recalled from UK shelves due to the presence of a serious chemical that poses a fertility risk. The Office for Product Safety & Standards issued the recall, removing the products from Savers Health and Beauty stores.
Chemical Danger
The perfumes were found to contain butylphenyl methylpropional (BMHCA/lilial) and/or hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde. BMHCA has been banned in the UK and the European Union because it presents three major health hazards, including harm to fertility and the health of an unborn child.
