Birmingham Teen Scolded by Cowboy on Channel 5's Trading Places
Birmingham Teen Scolded by Cowboy on Trading Places

A teenager from Birmingham was given a rude awakening during the latest episode of Channel 5's reality show, Trading Places. The episode, aired on Sunday, May 31, featured pampered young Brits Kyrah, Myles, and Keegan leaving the UK for Wyoming to experience the hard graft of cowboy life on a cattle ranch.

Unimpressed with Accommodation

Upon arrival, the trio were less than impressed with their living quarters. Kyrah commented, 'I don't think I've ever stayed in anything as basic as this. There's no TV!' Myles added, 'My pet peeve is when the double bed is two singles, that is my idea of hell.' Kaitlin, who runs the ranch with her brother Tucker, replied bluntly, 'Well, welcome to hell.' When they complained about unmade beds, Kaitlin told them they were responsible for their own accommodation, stating, 'It's not a hotel. You can sleep on an unmade bed, I don't care.'

Strict Instructions at Cattle Auction

Later, at a cattle auction, Kaitlin scolded the trio for not paying attention. She instructed them to count cattle as they came off a trailer, but when they missed one, she emphasized the potential $3,000 loss. As they grew bored, Myles said, 'I'm bored with this,' and Kyrah agreed, 'There's no stimulation in my brain.' Kaitlin snapped, 'Everybody come stand right here and shut the f**k up. Stand here in silence and watch. Shut up.'

Background of the Participants

Before the trip, Birmingham teen Kyrah admitted she is 'spoiled rotten' by her parents and has yet to find her purpose. Myles, 22, also spoiled, expressed a desire to better himself, while self-confessed mummy's boy Keegan said he is ready for a change but holds himself back. Despite the tough start, the trio successfully completed the eight-mile cattle drive and received praise from the cowboys.

Trading Places airs on Channel 5.
