Police searching for a missing 14-year-old schoolboy have tragically discovered a body. Tyler Townsend was last seen in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday 17 May, prompting an extensive search by authorities.

Discovery Near Burslem Cemetery

The search concluded on Thursday evening when a body was found in a wooded area close to Burslem Cemetery. Staffordshire Police confirmed the grim find shortly after 7pm.

A police spokesperson stated: "We can sadly confirm that a body has been found in the search for missing 14-year-old Tyler, from Stoke-on-Trent. He was last seen in the area on Sunday. Officers have been carrying out extensive searches to try to find him since he was reported missing."

Formal Identification Pending
