Five males, including three teenage boys, have pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the alleged rape of a girl over a number of days at an address in Kent.
Court Appearance
The teenage victim was allegedly raped by four of the accused between March 22 and April 18 this year at a private address in Gravesend. All five defendants appeared via videolink at Woolwich Crown Court in south-east London on Friday, where each denied the charges put to them.
Defendants and Charges
Ionut Dobre, 34, of Woolwich, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and a charge of assault by penetration. The two 16-year-olds each pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape, while the 15-year-old denied a single rape charge. The boys cannot be named for legal reasons.
Benone Irofte, 46, of Gravesend, denied two counts of aiding and abetting a rape. It is alleged that on April 2 2026, he aided, abetted, counselled or procured the commission of rape upon the teenager for Dobre and one of the 16-year-old boys, according to the charge.
Trial Details
A trial, estimated to last between four and six weeks, has been scheduled for October 19. A pre-trial review for all defendants has been set for September 23.
