Girl, 6, Killed in Paisley Crash; Another Child Injured

A six-year-old girl has tragically died and another child has been taken to hospital following a serious road collision in Paisley, Renfrewshire. Emergency services responded to reports of the incident on Johnston Street at approximately 5:30pm on Saturday, April 25.

The young girl was struck by a car and pronounced dead at the scene. A seven-year-old girl was also injured and subsequently taken to hospital for medical treatment, according to Police Scotland.

Police Investigation Underway

Officers are currently conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Sergeant Jack Swindells of Police Scotland stated: 'Around 5.30pm on Saturday April 25, 2026, police received a report of two children being struck by a car on Johnston Street, Paisley. Emergency services attended and a six-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A seven-year-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment.'

Sergeant Swindells added: 'Inquiries remain ongoing and our thoughts are with the family of the girl who died. They ask that their privacy is respected at this time.' Authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward and contact police on 101, quoting reference number 2786 of April 25.
