Pervert Who Denied Child Attraction Caught with Indecent Images
Pervert Denied Child Attraction, Caught with Indecent Images

A man who insisted he had no sexual interest in children has avoided prison after being caught with indecent images of minors and extreme pornography involving animals. Rabhar Zaman, 26, was handed a community order at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

Zaman was arrested by Cheshire Police in November 2023 after his Samsung mobile phone was seized and examined. Digital forensics teams discovered nine sexually explicit images of children, three underage pornographic videos, and extreme pornography featuring sexual acts with animals.

Prosecutor Suzanne McKinstry told the court: “Following the seizure and examination of the defendant’s Samsung mobile telephone, digital forensics teams discovered indecent images of children on his device. The matter was transferred to Staffordshire Police. They were sent to High Lane, in Burslem, on February 7, 2024, to arrest the defendant in relation to the material found on his device. Upon his arrest, a second mobile device - a Google Pixel 3A telephone - was seized for examination.”

Zaman admitted making indecent images of children in categories A, B, and C, and possessing extreme pornographic images featuring sexual acts with a dead or alive animal. The court heard the collection included moving images depicting children aged three to four and eight to nine years old. He also had active involvement in a network on Telegram, where he referred to himself as a “paedo no-limit s***.”

Defending, Lloyd Moody said Zaman had been working to address his issues. “There was no distribution here. Zaman received these images via random unidentified users on the internet. This is a young 26-year-old man who was a good deal younger when he was arrested. Although he can’t be classified as a youth, he is young in the grand scheme of things. He is of a previous good character and his positive endeavours to make amends are a testament to that. Since this offending, he has not been rearrested or put a foot wrong. He has done everything that has been asked of him. He is a productive member of society with a job.”

Zaman, now living in Surrey, was sentenced to a two-year community order, including a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, 200 hours of unpaid work, and a five-year sexual harm prevention order.

Sentencing, Judge Richard McConaghy said: “Each and every one of the children depicted in the images that you had was a real child being subjected to real sexual abuse. That abuse took place in order to provide images of it to people like you. People seeking out and obtaining that material perpetuate that market and that abuse. You claimed that you have no sexual interest in children. People without a sexual interest in children do not have conversations with others online about being a ‘paedo no-limit s***’. Conversations and comments all attributed to you. You may have begun to engage with people about your thinking and behaviour, but if your view is still that you did not have a sexual attraction to children, you’ve got some way to go to reach the end of that journey.”
