West Midlands Police Hunt for Criminals on the Run from Prison Recall
Police Hunt for Prison Recall Fugitives in West Midlands

Detectives in the West Midlands have expressed frustration as multiple individuals who should be behind bars remain free on the streets. These alleged criminals have been issued recall to prison notices after breaching the conditions of their release on probation, but authorities have been unable to locate them.

Over recent years, West Midlands Police (WMP) have launched numerous appeals to find men wanted for recall to prison. Some of these individuals have evaded capture for years, remaining at large despite extensive efforts.

Recall to Prison: What It Means

When prisoners are released on probation, they must adhere to strict conditions, such as living at a specified address, observing a curfew, attending regular meetings with probation officers, and refraining from committing new offenses. If they violate these terms, they can be recalled to prison. However, some ex-offenders have managed to disappear before police can apprehend them.

These fugitives may still be in the West Midlands, could have moved to other parts of the UK, or might have fled abroad.

Dann Hudson

Dann Hudson, from Shirley, has been on the run for five and a half years. WMP issued an appeal in October 2020 to locate him after he breached licence conditions related to a wounding conviction from the previous year. At the time, he was 28 years old. Hudson remains one of the longest-serving members of the force's public most wanted list, with his mugshot viewed over 122,000 times. Despite this, his whereabouts remain unknown, and he may now look significantly different from his original photograph. Police continue to appeal for information.

Florian Mihai

Florian Mihai, from Smethwick, was wanted on recall to prison after breaching his licence conditions. An appeal was issued in July 2024, but two years later, he remains a free man. Mihai was 31 at the time of the appeal.

Vladimir Sula

Vladimir Sula, from Wolverhampton, is another individual sought by police. An appeal to find him was launched in January 2025, over a year ago, but efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful. Sula was 36 at the time. Detectives have urged anyone with information to call 999.

WMP continue to ask the public for help in tracking down these fugitives to ensure they face justice.
