Search for Missing Midland Man Who Travelled to Welsh Coast

A significant search operation is currently underway to locate a missing man from the Midlands who is believed to have travelled to a coastal village in Wales.

Missing Man: Lee Butler

Lee Butler, 36, was reported missing from Staffordshire five days ago, on Tuesday, May 26. Authorities now believe he may have travelled to the Ogmore-by-Sea area in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales.

Residents in the area have reported seeing a helicopter and drones assisting in the search efforts. Others have noted the presence of RNLI lifeboats conducting searches along the coastline, according to WalesOnline.

Police Appeal for Information

South Wales Police have released a photograph and description of Lee in the hope that members of the public can provide information about his whereabouts.

A spokesperson for the force stated: "Lee, aged 36, has been reported as missing from Staffordshire on Tuesday (May 26), however it is believed he is now in the Ogmore-by-Sea area. He is around 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, and has a full sleeve tattoo on his arm."

The spokesperson added: "Anyone who may have seen Lee, or who has information which will help us find him, is asked to contact us quoting occurrence number 2600166222."
