A drug dealer who controlled the 'Bobby' line in Tamworth, Staffordshire, has been arrested at Birmingham Airport and sentenced to prison. Zain Alishan, 28, from Birmingham, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin between September 2024 and January last year.
The Bobby Line Operation
The drug line operated by Alishan generated approximately £15,000 from the sale of class A drugs during that period. He was taken into custody at Birmingham Airport on Friday, February 6, after disembarking a flight from Dubai.
Staffordshire Police confirmed that Alishan's arrest followed an investigation by the major and organised crime proactive team into the Staffordshire drug line. The dealer had flown to Dubai following the arrest of an associate.
Court Sentencing
Appearing at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday, May 26, Alishan was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison. A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police stated: "Through Operation Target, we have been disrupting and pursuing criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation."
The force added: "We’re working hard each and every day to tackle these groups proactively, protect those who are being exploited by them and to gather intelligence to bring a stop to major criminal networks across our area."
