Public Footage Leads to Arrest
A member of the public recorded the incident on their mobile phone and flagged down an officer to show them the footage. Culprit Lisa Kelly was then identified. The 40-year-old was traced following a public appeal for information and arrested three days later.
During her police interview, Kelly said she met the victim earlier that day and they had been drinking together. She went to a cash machine near the Asda, where an altercation took place between the pair. Kelly claimed the victim's dog had bitten her and she ran into the supermarket, asking staff to call police.

She then stole a pack of knives and went back outside with the blades as a 'scare tactic', Derbyshire Constabulary said. But Kelly lashed out at the victim with one of the blades, causing the injury to her wrist.
Victim's Statement
In a statement, the victim said: "Directly after this incident my anxiety increased to the point that I was not able to go out at all, and I was unable to sleep."
Kelly, of Burton Road, Derby, admitted grievous bodily harm without intent, theft, and possession of a bladed article in public at Derby Crown Court on April 8.
The incident happened in Arleston Lane, Sinfin, Derby. Kelly will be sentenced on May 28.
