Ramsbottom Come Together Festival 2026: Free 3-Day Arts Celebration Returns
Free Ramsbottom Festival Returns with Music & Art

The beloved Ramsbottom Come Together Festival (RCTF) is set to make a vibrant return, transforming the town into a hub of creativity and community connection for three days in February 2026. This entirely free event will fill venues across Ramsbottom with an eclectic mix of live music, performance art, workshops, and family-friendly activities, welcoming residents and visitors of all ages to join the celebration.

A Weekend Packed with Creativity and Local Talent

Running from Friday, February 6, to Sunday, February 8, the festival will take over multiple locations in and around the town centre. The 2026 lineup promises something for everyone, with headliners including the acclaimed tribute act Fleetwood Mad and the popular Rossendale Male Voice Choir from Britain’s Got Talent, alongside crowd-pleasers like Retrospect.

With a programme featuring theatre, dance, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops, RCTF champions local and regional talent. Festival organiser Stephen Marley, who is also a founder member of the Co-op Hall Heritage Trust, emphasises the event's relaxed ethos. “It’s designed so people can wander, explore and take part in whatever catches their interest,” he says, highlighting the festival's focus on creativity, connection, and showcasing what makes Ramsbottom special.

Supporting Heritage and Community Spirit

The festival plays a crucial role in a much larger community mission. It is organised by the Ramsbottom Co-op Hall Heritage Trust, which aims to purchase and restore the historic Ramsbottom Co-op Hall as a permanent cultural and community space. By activating the town with creative events, RCTF underscores the importance of preserving local heritage while fostering new opportunities for the arts.

Every event is completely free, encouraging a flexible, drop-in atmosphere. While many activities are open access, some specific performances require free tickets, which can be reserved in advance via the official festival website. The informal buzz will be amplified by pop-up performances and spontaneous happenings alongside the scheduled events.

Powering the Festival: Volunteers and Funding

RCTF is driven by community effort and is currently calling for volunteers to help during the weekend. Roles include welcoming visitors, supporting events, and behind-the-scenes assistance.

  • Only short shifts are required.
  • No prior experience is needed—just enthusiasm.
  • Volunteers can still enjoy the festival.

Those interested can sign up through the festival's 'Get Involved' page. The event has been made possible through funding from the UK Government’s Local Growth and Place Flexible Grants, in partnership with Bury Council and Culture Bury.

Since its inception in 2024, the Ramsbottom Come Together Festival has grown into a key date in the local calendar, celebrating inclusivity, creativity, and civic pride. It continues to bring people together in accessible spaces, supporting the town's cultural future.
