Street Eat Food Festival Makes a Comeback to Rochdale Town Hall Square
The much-anticipated Street Eat food and drink festival is set to return to Rochdale Town Hall Square on Saturday, May 30, promising another delightful serving of culinary delights, free entertainment, and live music. Organised by the Rochdale Business Improvement District (BID), this annual event draws thousands of visitors each year, celebrating the vibrant local food scene.
A Feast for the Senses
Street Eat brings together a diverse array of local food and drink establishments, offering visitors a chance to tickle their taste buds and quench their thirst with an impressive selection of dishes. Last year's event attracted over 3,000 people, and this year's menu will once again feature mouth-watering options from local restaurant chefs, including Italian, Spanish, Indian, English, American, and more cuisines.
In addition to the food, the festival will provide free activities and rides for children, bars for adults, and a music stage offering hours of fun for all ages. Paul Ambrose, the BID manager who organises the event, emphasised that Street Eat showcases the high-quality food and drink available in the town while providing a fantastic day out for families and friends.
Paul Ambrose stated:“It’s a fantastic event, giving us the opportunity to champion the very best local food and drink. Street Eat brings friends and families together, celebrating our vibrant town centre eateries and showing what a foodie hotspot the town is. We do all we can to make the event as affordable as possible too, and entry is free.”Confirmed Traders and Community Support
While the full line-up of traders for this summer's edition is still to be confirmed, it will include popular venues such as tapas restaurant La Mancha, The Flying Horse Hotel, Vicolo Del Vino, Treehouse bar, and many more. Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for culture and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council, praised the event, noting that Rochdale Town Hall Square provides a wonderful setting for this celebration of local food and drink.
Councillor Sue Smith commented:“This is always such a great day out, and Rochdale Town Hall Square is a wonderful setting. Street Eat is a great celebration of the incredible food and drink offer we have here in our town, but on top of that, there’s so much to see and do with a full programme of live music and lots of free family fun.”Event Details and Additional Information
The entertainment and music line-up will be announced in April. Admission to Street Eat is free, and the festival will run from 11am to 7pm on May 30. For more details on the line-up, visitors can check official sources closer to the date.
