MAFS Australia's Danny Hits Back at Cheating Accusations from Ex-Wife Bec
MAFS Australia's Danny Hits Back at Cheating Accusations

Married At First Sight Australia groom Danny Hewitt has officially addressed the cheating scandal that has surrounded him since the reunion dinner, labelling accusations from his ex-wife Bec as false and hypocritical.

Danny Responds to Cheating Rumours

Danny and Bec's relationship came to a dramatic end during the reunion dinner, where cheating rumours were thrown around the table. Bec accused Danny and her friend Stephanie of striking up a relationship, claiming texts and even bikini photos were exchanged.

However, following an explosive rant from Danny on the MAFS after show, it became clear that he and Steph never took things any further. Now, speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, Danny has set the record straight.

The Timeline of Events

Danny explained the timeline of events, stating: "It's been dubbed as a cheating scandal. The Final Vows were the 25th October. The first message Steph sent me was on the 10th November - 16 days later." He highlighted the hypocrisy of Bec's accusations, noting that she often went out with male cast members during the experiment.

"Bec went out with male cast members all the time. So it's okay for her to go for coffees with the boys while we're on the show but 16 days after we've split up you're attacking me for messaging someone?" he asked.

Danny concluded: "Bec tried to make a mountain out of a mole hill to make me look like a bad guy. It was so hypocritical."

Regret Over Comments to Steph

While defending his behaviour, Danny admitted he deeply regrets how he treated Steph following the reunion. He acknowledged that misinformation played a role in his outburst, where he called her a derogatory name in unaired footage.

"The Steph comments I regret them deeply. She didn't deserve that and I had been told misinformation," he explained. "That's why I was so angry and so frustrated. [At the reunion] It was just a full gang up, I felt isolated. Over nothing by the way. The me and Steph thing was absolutely nothing. There were lies chucked in there."

Addressing the bikini picture he was sent, Danny said it was "nothing sexy" and was a picture she had already shared publicly.

Danny added: "The whole thing I was so frustrated about. Then I was told the misinformation and then went on the rant and said the things I said. It's not an excuse but I'm just explaining to everyone what actually happened at the back end of that."

Reflecting on Personal Growth

Danny also admitted that seeing his behaviour and words off-screen was a valuable learning experience, helping him to continue working on himself.
