Love Island All Stars finalists Millie Court and Zac Woodworth have announced their split after a whirlwind two-month romance. The couple, who finished as runners-up on the latest All Stars series, revealed the news on their Snapchat accounts, explaining that their love for their respective homes in the UK and America made it difficult to envision a shared future.
The Announcement
Millie shared the news with fans on Snapchat, writing: "Hey gang. Zac and I both love our lives and our homes, and that makes it harder to know what a future could be, so we've agreed that we'd prefer to remain friends. BUT we have had the best time travelling together since the show, it's been a whirlwind. And I loved every minute x tysm for all your love and support."
Zac also took to Snapchat to confirm the split, stating: "Hey guys. Millie and I have talked about it and both love our lives where we live which makes the future difficult to navigate so we've decided we prefer to remain friends! HOWEVER we truly have had the best time traveling and experiencing life together after the villa and appreciate all the love and support we felt from yall." He added: "We'll always remain good friends and I will always wish nothing but the best for her and forever be in her corner rooting her on."
Long-Distance Challenges
Fans had expressed concerns about the couple's long-distance relationship from the start, as Zac hails from Arizona, USA, while Millie resides in Essex, UK. After leaving the villa, the pair had spoken about their travel plans and intentions to split their time between the two countries. Millie had said: "Well, luckily we both love travelling. And I think for the time being, for the near future, our plans are to just travel all over." Zac had echoed this, saying he felt they would "split time" between their homes. However, despite their best efforts, the distance proved too challenging to overcome.
A Whirlwind Romance
Millie and Zac quickly became fan favourites during the All Stars series, winning over viewers with their undeniable chemistry. Although they finished in second place behind Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies, their love story captured hearts. The couple spent the two months after the show travelling together, but ultimately decided to part ways amicably.
Fans have expressed sadness at the news but have also shown support for both Millie and Zac, appreciating their honesty and the mature way they have handled the split. As they move forward as friends, both have expressed gratitude for the love and support they received throughout their journey.
