Record Crowd Gathers for Blacon Festival 2026

More than 3,000 people flocked to Queen Elizabeth Fields for the triumphant return of the Blacon Festival, widely recognized as Chester's biggest and best community-led celebration. The event, organized by social enterprise Avenue Services, once again delivered a day to remember for local families under a Western theme.

Entertainment and Performances

A fantastic line-up of local performers kept the energy high throughout the afternoon. Musicians including Jader Fialho, local rock band CSR, and singers Evelyn and Ava provided entertainment, ensuring the fields were alive with music and laughter. The Country and Western theme was embraced by attendees and performers alike.

Community and Business Engagement

The festival featured 50 stalls from local businesses, community groups, and charities from across Blacon and beyond. The Sheriff of Chester, Cllr Alan Smith, joined dedicated volunteers who helped make the festival a huge success, highlighting the civic pride and community spirit.
