The much-loved Blacon Festival is back for 2026, bringing a taste of Nashville to the west of Chester. Organised by social enterprise Avenue Services, the 29th edition of this community festival will take place on Saturday, July 4, from 1pm to 5pm at Queen Elizabeth Fields on Blacon Avenue.
Country and Western Theme
This year’s theme is country and western, and locals are invited to saddle up for a day of fun. The festival features live music performances, a wide range of entertainment, games, stalls, and refreshments, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. Recognised as Chester’s largest community-led festival, it attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Organiser’s Excitement
Paul Knight, Head of Avenue Services, said: “I’m really excited for this year’s Blacon Festival. We’ve been doing it for 29 years, so it’s not our first rodeo and we’ve got a fantastic day lined up. I look forward to welcoming people of all ages to enjoy this much-loved community celebration right here in Blacon.”
