Comics Assemble Convention Brings Global Creators to Gloucester
Comics Assemble: Global Creators Head to Gloucester

A major comic convention is set to bring creative artists and iconic pop culture characters to Gloucester this month, offering families and fans a packed day of activities suitable for all ages during the summer holidays.

International and Local Talent Unite

The event will host international creators travelling from Canada, Japan, Spain and France alongside local talent. A total of 100 writers, artists and retailers from across the UK will be attending the exhibition. Visitors can celebrate everything from Marvel and DC superheroes to Manga and classic British titles like The Beano.

Attendees can browse rare collectibles and meet the original creators behind their favourite comic books. A free schedule of interactive workshops and interviews will run throughout the entire day. Children aged 13 and under can enter the convention for free when accompanied by an adult.

What the Organisers Say

Shane Chebsey, event director, said: "This is a very different way of doing comic conventions. It is focused around the creators who make the comics and who have often created the characters many of us know and love. Comics Assemble is a true celebration of the art form."
