A free dinosaur-themed event is set to transform The Ridings Shopping Centre in Wakefield into a prehistoric adventure on Wednesday, July 22. Families from across the region are invited to enjoy a day of live shows, interactive workshops, and a centre-wide treasure hunt, all at no cost.
Live Dinosaur Shows and Walk-Around Performers
The headline attractions include a spectacular live dinosaur show and two walk-around dinosaur performers. Children can also visit a dedicated display area to learn more about these fascinating creatures. Interactive workshops will offer fossil rubbing activities and the chance to create a keyring to take home. Other activities include posing for photographs with a giant dinosaur egg, professional glitter tattoos, and an augmented reality interactive table.
Treasure Hunt Extends the Fun
A week-long treasure hunt will launch at the centre, giving families the chance to search participating retailers for hidden clues. Visitors can complete the hunt through an online portal, helping them discover stores throughout the centre while entering their findings.
