Eid in the Park 2026: Instructions for Birmingham Event

Thousands of people are preparing to attend Eid in the Park, a major celebration of Eid al-Adha taking place in Small Heath Park. The event, organised by Green Lane Mosque, will feature fairground rides, family activities, and prayers.

Event Timings and Arrival

Prayers are scheduled to start at 9am sharp, and attendees are encouraged to arrive from 8.15am to avoid being late. A mosque spokesman emphasised, "Please arrive early as we will start at 9am sharp and will not be able to wait for latecomers."

What to Bring

Attendees are advised to bring their own prayer mats, plastic sheets to place underneath, chairs, and water bottles for wudu (ritual washing).

Travel and Parking

Organisers urge people to walk to the park or car share if driving is necessary. Parking at Morrisons in Small Heath is free. However, attendees must not park on double yellow lines, block residents' driveways, or obstruct footpaths.

Safety and Cleanliness

Children are welcome but must be supervised by parents and participate in prayers. "Please do not leave children unsupervised," the spokesman said. Additionally, attendees are reminded not to litter. "Remember that cleanliness is half of faith. Use the park bins or take your rubbish home."
