A popular family fun day is returning to Barry town centre this summer, promising a fantasy-themed adventure with free activities and entertainment for all ages.
Fantasy Theme Transforms Town Centre
Central Park and King Square will be transformed into an imaginative world featuring dragons, medieval knights, falconry displays, and archery demonstrations. Youngsters can engage in storytelling sessions, virtual reality gaming workshops, cyber security activities, and creative arts and crafts.
Market Stalls and Refreshments
Visitors can browse a selection of food, drink, craft, and community market stalls set up across the town square throughout the day, offering something for everyone.
Council Leader Encourages Families to Attend
Cllr Bronwen Brooks, leader of Barry Town Council, expressed delight at the event's return. "We are delighted to welcome the return of Barry Town Council's Family Fun Day," she said. "This year's fantasy theme promises a day filled with imagination, adventure and hands-on experiences for all ages." She added: "We know that the summer holidays can be an expensive time for families, so we're proud to provide a free event with a wide range of affordable activities that everyone can enjoy together." Concluding her remarks, she stated: "Whether you're meeting dragons, learning new skills or taking part in creative workshops, we hope families will spend the day making lasting memories."
