Free Family Nature Event at Kent Coast This August

A free nature event packed with outdoor activities is set to arrive on the Kent coast, offering local families a chance to explore wildlife together. The special day out includes guided nature trails, wildlife spotting, and interactive games designed specifically for young children.

Event Details and Activities

Organised by the Kent Ornithological Society, a local birdwatching club, the event features a full schedule starting from mid-morning. Visitors can join guided walks across the reserve to spot rare coastal birds and unique plants. Families can also test their wildlife knowledge in a friendly quiz before heading out to search for underwater creatures during pond dipping sessions. The entire event is free for both club members and the general public.

Practical Information

Refreshments will be provided on the day, and free parking is available at the nature reserve. Organisers ask that people register their interest in advance via email to help manage visitor numbers.
