Dalton Park, the regional retail centre in Seaham, County Durham, has announced a summer programme of free outdoor activities and seasonal shopping. The centre's holiday guide includes interactive weekend workshops, a dedicated dog event on July 19, and a large artisan market.
Camp Dalton: A New Wilderness Club
The headline attraction is Camp Dalton, a free immersive wilderness club designed to keep children entertained throughout the school holidays. Youngsters can take part in hands-on crafts, storytelling sessions, scavenger hunts, and sporting challenges. Each child receives a commemorative token for every activity completed, with exclusive prizes for collecting a full set. Parents can book the free weekend sessions online before their visit.
Strut Your Pup: A Canine Celebration
On July 19, pet owners are invited to a special canine celebration featuring dedicated walking routes around 55 acres of nearby parkland. Four-legged visitors can tackle a free agility course, enjoy complimentary treats, and explore a mini-market with specialist goods.
Summer Artisan Market
An artisan market will return later in the month, featuring independent traders selling handmade gifts, jewellery, and seasonal flowers. Visitors can browse more than 40 unique stalls while enjoying live music from local performers.
