Hythe Food Festival Returns for 10th Birthday in August 2026

The We Love Hythe Life Food Festival is set to return this August, and this year it will be celebrating its 10th birthday. As the days grow longer and the August Bank Holiday approaches, excitement is building for the return of the We Love Hythe Life Food Festival 2026—a vibrant celebration of food, music, and togetherness. Set against the stunning backdrop of Hythe Green from August 29-31, the festival will once again transform the town into a lively hub of flavour, sound, and colour. Across three unforgettable days, visitors can expect exceptional food, live entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.

An Unmissable Food Experience

This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, a delicious journey through a wide variety of cuisines, blending much-loved favourites with exciting new discoveries. Popular traders including Meat the Chef and Taste of Thailand return by popular demand, joined by a handpicked selection of new vendors bringing bold flavours and creative dishes to the table. From comforting classics to dishes inspired by kitchens around the world, the festival celebrates food made with care, creativity, and passion—perfect for curious eaters and traditionalists alike.

Shop Local, Savour Longer

Alongside the food stalls, the Artisan Market offers visitors the chance to browse and buy beautifully crafted local produce. From artisan cheeses and baked treats to preserves, spices, and gourmet gifts, it is the perfect place to discover something special and support local makers.

Music, Atmosphere and Family Fun

The festival experience goes far beyond what is on the plate. Throughout the weekend, a talented line-up of local musicians will perform live, setting the tone for a relaxed yet energetic Bank Holiday atmosphere. Get your groove on with Nade or rock out with Penny Spent—there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. Families will find plenty to enjoy, with fairground rides, face painting, Punch and Judy, and special appearances from Hythe Fire and Rescue, including a real fire engine that always proves a hit with younger visitors. It is an event designed to be enjoyed together, whether visiting with children, friends, or loved ones.

Rooted in Community

The We Love Hythe Life Food Festival is proudly run as a Community Interest Company, with all profits reinvested locally. Funds raised support charities, community organisations, youth sports teams, and town events—ensuring the festival continues to benefit Hythe long after the final plate is cleared. This year, the Hythe Life Team has invested in their local Youth Club, updating their kitchen facilities and ensuring the young people of the town have the best resources for their growth and development into adulthood. Hemanshu Patel, director of We Love Hythe Life Food Festival, said: “The festival has become a real highlight of the Hythe calendar. It is about great food, fantastic entertainment, and creating a space where the whole community can come together and enjoy themselves. We are incredibly excited to welcome everyone back for 2026.”

Sponsorship Opportunities

The team are always on the lookout for any local businesses who would like to get involved in supporting them and their community projects. Sponsors benefit from social media exposure during the run up to the event, and on the day advertising on all three festival days.
