Lark in the Park, a popular family fun day, will return to Bridgford Park in West Bridgford on Wednesday, August 5, offering dozens of free activities and entertainment for children. The annual festival, organized by Rushcliffe Borough Council, transforms the green space into an action-packed venue featuring inflatables, soft play, storytelling, and free sports sessions.
Activities and Entertainment
Youngsters can enjoy live music and dance performances from popular children's entertainers alongside more than 40 interactive stalls. Local sports clubs and organizations will run interactive taster sessions throughout the day to celebrate National Play Day. Parents and carers can also explore various food and drink stalls while browsing community stands packed with advice and local information.

Cllr Jonathan Wheeler, Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Wellbeing, ICT and Member Development, said: “Lark in the Park is one of Rushcliffe's most loved family events and we're looking forward to welcoming thousands of children, parents and carers to Bridgford Park for a fantastic day celebrating National Play Day.” He continued: “There's something for everyone to enjoy, with free activities, performances, sports sessions and opportunities for families to spend quality time together outdoors during the summer holidays.” He added: “Visitors will also spot our recently awarded Green Flag for Bridgford Park and Bridge Field.
