The NEC has launched NEC Lakeside, a new free outdoor space featuring a cinema, children's play area and activity trail. Families enjoyed the sunshine and picnics on Saturday, May 9 for the opening day of the attraction located at the centre of the NEC site.
Free Activities All Summer
The space offers free activities running from May until the end of August. It provides families with somewhere to relax during the summer months. Food and drink stalls are available, as well as free picnic spots.
Sarah Harvey, deputy chief executive officer at the NEC, said: "With the addition of NEC Lakeside, we're also able to offer a free space where people can spend time together and make the most of their visit."
Complementary Attractions
The outdoor space complements other NEC attractions including Peppa Pig Space Adventure and the Gladiators Experience.
Film Screenings Schedule
Film screenings will begin on Saturday, May 23, with all films starting at 2pm and CBeebies programming running between 9.30am and 5pm.
