The peaceful grounds of Saint Francis Hospice will be transformed into a heartfelt tribute of remembrance and love throughout August. The local charity is launching a beautiful new summer campaign called Ribbons of Remembrance.
How the Campaign Works
Residents are being invited to dedicate a colourful ribbon in memory of someone special who shines brightly in their life. Each ribbon will hang from trees and awnings to create a stunning display across the summer months. Every single ribbon tells a unique story of a life filled with laughter, love, or cherished friendship. Whether your loss is recent or many years ago, this campaign offers a meaningful way to celebrate those who made a difference.
Supporting Compassionate Care
By dedicating a ribbon, you will also be helping the charity continue providing outstanding compassionate care to people living with life-limiting illnesses. Every contribution helps the hospice continue its vital work across the local community. As the ribbons dance in the breeze, they will serve as a visible reminder that love and connection never fade. Families visiting the gardens will have the opportunity to pause, reflect, and find comfort in seeing their loved ones honoured.
How to Participate
Taking part in the campaign is simple, and you can donate to dedicate a ribbon with the name of your loved one. Throughout the summer, families are welcome to visit the display, take photographs, and spend time in the peaceful surroundings.
A Celebration of Remembrance and Hope
Organisers hope the project will become a heartfelt celebration of remembrance, hope, and togetherness. In creating this shared display, the community honours the enduring impact these special people continue to have every day.
