Colour Run Returns to Sandwell Valley Country Park
The popular Colour Run is back this summer, inviting families to take part in a vibrant 5km or 3km run at Sandwell Valley Country Park on Saturday, August 1. Runners start in white and are doused in colour at six paint stations along the route.
The event, named after the 'Blind Dave' Heeley, raises money for the West Bromwich Albion Foundation. There is no minimum fundraising target; every contribution helps support local community work.
Same Day as Sandwell Festival
The Colour Run coincides with the Sandwell Festival, featuring live music, play zones, stalls, sports activities, and a food village. Families can enjoy both events in one day.
A spokesperson for the Albion Foundation said: "Last year's Colour Run saw over 500 runners and walkers trek around Sandwell, as they were doused from head to toe at six different paint stations. And this edition will be no different, we can't wait to see you and the whole family there."
Registration and Entry Details
Registration opens at 11am, with the run starting at 12pm. Entry fees are £15 for adults, £10 for children, and under-threes go free. Each participant receives a paint pack, T-shirt, and medal upon completion.
Organisers encourage participants to raise funds for The Albion Foundation, with no minimum target. The foundation uses donations to continue its work in the local community.
