Free Beach and Activities at Touchwood Shopping Centre
Solihull is set to welcome back its popular manmade beach at Touchwood Shopping Centre this summer, offering a completely free seaside experience for families. The Touchwood Summer Sessions will run daily from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, 2026, covering the entire school holiday period.
A spokesperson for Touchwood confirmed the return, stating: "The countdown is on. The beach returns to Touchwood from Saturday 18th July! We're bringing Summer Sessions to the heart of Solihull with six weeks of free family fun, live entertainment and summer activities."
What to Expect at the Summer Sessions
Visitors can enjoy building sandcastles, live entertainment, and a relaxed summer atmosphere. The schedule includes a launch party with DJ Mark, a K-POP party, spectacular bubble shows, appearances by pop princesses, drama tots, sea-themed arts and crafts with Cris Wong, Year of Reading author events, a BRMB Charity Day supporting Acorns, and Jamaya BBQ.
Additionally, a Dinosaur Show will be held at The Core Theatre, with tickets sold separately. For more details, visit the Touchwood website.
