Spudman Returns to West Midlands for Free Potato Giveaway

Viral TikTok sensation Spudman, also known as Ben Newman, is returning to the West Midlands this summer with a special pop-up event in Rugeley, offering free jacket potatoes and exclusive on-the-day prizes.

Event Details and Free Potato Opportunity

The pop-up event will take place on Saturday, July 25, from 10am to 3pm at Rugeley Market Square. Fans can sign up online for a chance to win limited free spuds and exclusive prizes. The event celebrates London Northwestern Railway's (LNR) new Class 730 trains on the line connecting Rugeley to London.

Spudman rose to fame on TikTok by posting interactions with customers queuing for loaded potatoes at his van in Tamworth, Staffordshire. His collaboration with LNR follows a competition in June where five towns across the region battled for a pop-up appearance. Rugeley won with 41% of the total votes.

New Trains and Collaboration

LNR introduced the new Class 730 trains on the Trent Valley railway route, which connects destinations in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Buckinghamshire with London. Ben Newman said: "I feel very lucky to have followers who are willing to travel such long distances to visit me, so working with a train operator which is introducing brand-new trains and making it even easier for them as a result makes perfect sense."

Fans can sign up on London Northwestern's website to be in with a chance of winning free spuds and exclusive prizes on the day.
