New Square Shopping Centre in West Bromwich is bringing back its manmade beach for summer 2026, offering free crazy golf, Toy Story themed activities, and face painting. The beach opens on Monday, July 20, and runs through Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Cinema Square.
Free Activities for Families
Families can enjoy free face painting every Wednesday from 11am to 4pm during the beach's operation. A spokesman for New Square said: "Summer is officially here with the return of the beach to West Bromwich and a whole host of free fun that will keep the kids entertained right through the summer holidays!" Parents can post photos on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #NewSquareBeach for a chance to win a £50 gift card for their favourite store at the shopping centre.
Special Events
On Tuesday, August 11, from 11am to 4pm, "To Infinity and Beyond" offers free intergalactic excitement with Buzz and friends, including crafts, face painting, and glitter tattoos. On Friday, August 28, from 11am to 4pm, families can enjoy nine holes of free crazy golf. Fairground rides are available for a small fee, with donations supporting the West Bromwich Albion Foundation.
Seaside Fun in the City
The beach allows adults to relax on deckchairs while children play with buckets and spades, building sandcastles. The centre encourages visitors to share their experiences online for a chance to win gift cards.
