Junior and Princess Andre Reportedly Sign Up for Celebrity Race Across the World
Siblings Junior Andre and Princess Andre have reportedly been signed for the next series of the BBC competition show Celebrity Race Across the World. This news follows Princess's successful reality series The Princess Diaries on ITV2, which garnered significant attention and streams.
Filming Begins for the BBC Programme
It has been claimed that the pair, whose parents are singer Peter Andre and former glamour model Katie Price, departed London on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, to begin filming the programme. The show sees celebrity duos swap luxury for rucksacks as they compete in an epic international race, with the location for the upcoming series yet to be confirmed.
Programme bosses were keen to recruit Junior, aged 20, and Princess, aged 18, due to the latter's popularity and the ratings success of The Princess Diaries. A source told The Sun newspaper: "Princess and Junior have proven themselves to be well-mannered, hardworking kids, and opportunities continue to come their way. Execs were impressed with the ratings for The Princess Diaries, but also how they came across."
Bringing a Younger Audience to the Show
The source added: "They're brilliant signings for Celeb Race as they bring with them a younger audience. But bosses are also looking forward to seeing how they cope with the stripped-back style of travelling as they're more at home in five-star hotels than a hostel." This highlights the contrast between their usual lifestyle and the challenges of the show.
The 2025 series of Celebrity Race Across the World featured a 5,900km route from Isla Mujeres, Mexico, to the Peninsula de La Guajira in Colombia, and was won by The One Show co-presenter Roman Kemp and his sister, singer Harley Moon Kemp.
Background on Princess Andre's Career
Junior and Princess's reported involvement in the programme comes as Katie Price's surprise wedding to businessman Lee Andrews made headlines. The pair married in Dubai last month, merely days after their initial meeting.
In October 2025, ITV announced that The Princess Diaries will return for a second series in 2026 following the first season's 6.4 million streams. The series documents Princess as she balances life as an influencer while navigating growing up in the public eye.
Amanda Stvri, commissioning editor for Reality and Entertainment at ITV, said: "Princess dominated sidebars and social media throughout the Summer, and as our streams show, the ITV audience wholeheartedly embraced her. Now reality fans can look forward to not one but two more chapters in Princess' story as we line up two new series for next year, as Princess embraces independence and adulthood."
The Princess Diaries, with the first series recorded shortly before Princess turned 18, is produced by Optomen, part of All3Media. Tina Flintoff, Creative Director for Optomen, said: "Princess is such a pleasure to work with. We're delighted the series did so well and that we've been given the opportunity to continue bringing her story to life. Princess has so many exciting ventures planned over the next six months, and we can't wait to share them with her fans."
