David Beckham Voices Support for Son Cruz's Musical Journey
David Beckham has publicly expressed his pride in his youngest son, Cruz Beckham, as the 21-year-old embarks on a burgeoning music career. In a recent podcast appearance, the former England captain revealed his admiration for Cruz's dedication and achievements in the indie music scene.
Cruz Beckham's Rising Star in Music
Cruz, following in the footsteps of his mother, Victoria Beckham, has formed the band Cruz Beckham And The Breakers. The group has been actively touring, with performances in cities such as Bristol, Brighton, Birmingham, Paris, and Amsterdam, before returning to London for a series of final shows. Their debut album, also titled Cruz Beckham And The Breakers, has set the stage for a busy summer, including festival appearances at Reading and Leeds, the Rock N Roll Circus, and the launch of their first US tour.
David Beckham, speaking on a podcast with presenters Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on March 27, recounted Cruz's early interest in music. "Cruz has been working on his music since he was about eight or nine years old," he said. "And he's all of a sudden got a band together. He's released an album. It's Cruz Beckham And The Breakers. They're doing incredibly well. They're traveling around the UK." He added details about their European tour and upcoming London performances, emphasizing his pride in Cruz's hard work.
Family Dynamics and Emotional Moments
Amidst Cruz's musical successes, family tensions have been reported within the Beckham household. During a recent intimate London gig on March 24, Cruz's performance of the song 'Loneliest Boy' reportedly moved his older brother Romeo to tears. An eyewitness described the emotional scene, noting that Victoria Beckham comforted Romeo during the song.
These moments occur against a backdrop of ongoing disputes involving Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son. Brooklyn recently released a statement addressing conflicts with his parents, alleging interference in his relationship and wedding plans since before his 2022 marriage to Nicola Peltz. Despite this, David and Victoria Beckham have maintained public silence on the matter, while continuing to show support for their children from afar, including through social media messages and attendance at events.
Beckham Family's Continued Involvement
David Beckham previously took to Instagram to praise Cruz for "following the family traditions of playing in Manchester," highlighting the family's ongoing role in nurturing their children's passions. This support extends beyond music, as the Beckhams have been seen attending Cruz's performances and sharing positive messages online.
As Cruz Beckham And The Breakers prepare for their summer festival circuit and US tour, the blend of professional achievement and personal family dynamics continues to draw public attention. The Beckham family's ability to balance pride in their children's endeavors with private challenges remains a focal point in this evolving story.
