Artist Profiles

Liverpool-trained painter Sue Stevens creates dreamlike canvases that focus on light, energy, and emotion. Self-taught artist Lawrence Johnson employs a unique technique to construct colourful landscape scenes depicting the four seasons. Woodworker Brian Minnery uses reclaimed timber and fine tools to craft detailed three-dimensional designs inspired by nature and famous faces. Ainsdale potter Chris Hughes builds distinctive flagons and bowls using various clay techniques in his garden studio; during colder months, he also produces large abstract pastel drawings inspired by local landscapes.
