Amazon Slashes Prices on Three Latest Kindle Models Starting at £90
Amazon Cuts Prices on Three Kindle Models from £90

Amazon has reduced the prices of three of its latest Kindle models in a new sale, including the Kindle Kids, the Colorsoft, and the Scribe. Prices start from as low as £89.99, offering avid readers significant savings.

Kindle Kids

The Kindle Kids range has seen across-the-board price cuts. The basic Kindle Kids is now £89.99 (down from £114.99), the Kindle Paperwhite Kids is £134.99 (down from £169.99), and the Kindle Colorsoft Kids is £194 (down from £259.99). These devices come bundled with a child-friendly cover and a two-year worry-free guarantee, meaning any damage results in a free replacement. They also include a six-month Kids+ subscription for unlimited access to children's books, games, and videos. After that, the subscription costs £4.99 per month for Prime members or £6.99 for non-Prime members. A single charge via USB-C lasts up to six weeks, and a parent dashboard allows easy management of content and reading progress.

Kindle Colorsoft

The Kindle Colorsoft, Amazon's first colour e-reader, is now 27% off at £174. It features a 7-inch high-contrast, paper-like display that is gentle on the eyes. The colour technology enhances reading of graphic novels and allows colour-coded highlights. Battery life is up to eight weeks, and the device is waterproof, making it ideal for poolside reading. While it costs just £14 more than the Paperwhite, it offers a compelling upgrade. Compared to the Kobo Clara Colour (£149.99), the Colorsoft has a larger screen and slightly longer battery life.

Kindle Scribe

The Kindle Scribe is over £100 off, now priced at £304.99 (down from £429.99). It combines e-reading with note-taking, featuring a flush-front display and a Premium Pen that mimics writing on paper. Users can annotate books and use a dedicated notebook function. Built-in AI tools summarise and refine written material. However, the Kobo Libra Colour (£209.99) offers colour technology, physical buttons, and writing functionality, though its stylus is sold separately (£69.99).

All three models are compatible with Kindle Unlimited, which costs £9.49 per month for access to millions of titles. New Kindle purchases include a three-month free trial. The devices also support Audible audiobooks via Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
