McDonald's to Axe McGriddle Breakfast Item Tomorrow

McDonald's is set to axe a fan favourite menu item in less than 24 hours, leaving customers disappointed. The fast food chain will be waving goodbye to the McGriddle on April 28 to make way for a new range of menu items in May.

What is the McGriddle?

The McGriddle has become a favourite in the UK over the last month. It contains a seasoned sausage patty, round egg, and slice of cheese, sandwiched between two maple-infused griddle cakes. Priced at £3.99, the breakfast item has been popular since its launch on March 17.

Customer Reactions

Fans have been calling for the breakfast item to stay longer. On Reddit, one user described it as 'easily the best breakfast item now,' while another said, 'I love it and hope it stays.' A third added, 'Really good, definitely better than the muffin.'
